Terms and Conditions

These terms are the agreement between you and 28 bit S.R.L. (Single Member Company), C.O.E. SM31527, Strada di Paderna 2, 47895 Domagnano (RSM), Republic of San Marino, for the use of the Ghost Editor app. By using the app you accept them.
What the app does
Ghost Editor transcribes what you recorded and removes filler words and silences from it. Transcription is automatic and imperfect: it will sometimes cut a word you wanted or keep one you did not. Every cut can be reviewed and undone in the app before you export, and doing that review is your responsibility, not ours.
Your account
You need an account to use the parts of the app that rely on our servers. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You may delete your account at any time from inside the app.
Your content is yours
Everything you record and everything you export stays yours. We claim no ownership of it and no right to use it. Audio is uploaded only to produce your transcript, and only for as long as that takes. We do not use your recordings to train models.
Subscriptions and payment
The app includes a free allowance of transcription time. Beyond it, use requires a subscription, sold through the App Store and billed by Apple to your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and are managed in your Apple Account settings — not by us. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms.
What you may not do
- Use the app to process recordings of people who have not agreed to be recorded, where their agreement is required.
- Use it to produce content that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or circumvent the service or its limits.
- Resell the service or pass your access to someone else.
Availability
We intend to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. Transcription depends on servers that can be down, slow, or changed. Features may be added, altered or withdrawn.
Liability
The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost recordings, or for anything that follows from a transcript being wrong. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including your rights as a consumer, which these terms do not affect.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using the app and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will say why unless the law prevents us.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of San Marino, and the courts of San Marino have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new version.
